Athenahealth electronic health record and practice management system is utilzed. The service automatically checks your eligibilty three days prior to your first appointment and submits all claims thereafter. However, the patient is also encouraged to contact their insurance carrier to ensure coverage. At times, insurance providers require a referral or preauthorization for an evaluation or therapy. In such cases, the patient is responsbile for checking and obtaining this. Coverage cannot be guaranteed.
